The Toronto Blue Jays swept a doubleheader from the Kansas City Royals Tuesday.
The Blue Jays won the first game 11-3, scoring 6 of those runs in the 6th inning. Mike Moustakas and Lucas Duda hit back to back homeruns to give the Royals a 3-2 lead in the 3rd inning.
Toronto won the 2nd game 5-4 in 10 innings. Danny Duffy pitched 6 shutout innings for the Royals before the bullpen gave up 4 runs in the 7th. Abraham Almonte hit a solo homerun in the 6th to give the Royals a 3-0 lead. Alcides Escobar hit a solo homerun in the 8th to tie the game at 4.
