The Emporia High softball team was swept in a doubleheader by Washburn Rural Tuesday night.
Rural won the first game 11-0 in 5 innings and won the 2nd game 18-1 in 4 innings. The lone run was a solo homerun by Mya Chapman. Coach Troy Chapman called it a very disappointing day.
The Lady Spartans are now 4-4. They are scheduled to host Highland Park Friday.
