Topeka investigators have been questioning a man in connection to the shooting of a Carbondale woman earlier in the week.
Topeka Police are not calling 33-year-old Shaun Hightower a suspect, but they are listing him as a person of interest in the shooting of 27-year-old Isabel Pickering.
Details of the shooting Tuesday are not currently clear. Authorities say Pickering arrived at Stormont-Vail Hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon, but her condition had improved from critical to stable by Thursday.
