Kindergarten readiness will be discussed at length during Wednesday’s meeting of the Emporia School Board.
A board and community study session is planned during the meeting that will focus on how kindergarten readiness is influencing the Pre-K and elementary levels. Also to be looked at is the Mobilizing Literacy grant and how it’s supported that readiness.
The board plans to consider a bid for a dish machine for Emporia High School Food Service and also consider a republished 2017-18 budget for Drivers Ed and the Food Service funds. The board will also look at changing its May 9 board meeting to a 5:40 p.m. start time to allow enough time for a goal-setting and long-range planning session.
No executive sessions are planned. Wednesday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Mary Herbert.
