A three-time national champion at the NAIA and national junior college Division III levels will lead the Emporia State men’s basketball program.
ESU Athletics Director Kent Weiser says Craig Doty will be the university’s 17th men’s basketball head coach. Doty just guided Graceland University of Lamoni, Iowa, to the NAIA Division I national title after leading Rock Valley to the NJCAA Division III title in 2014 and 2016.
Doty’s record is 162-50 in six seasons as a head coach. He replaces Shaun Vandiver, who is leaving Emporia State after seven seasons and returning to Wyoming as an assistant coach.
Greg Rahe will have more in his sportscasts Thursday on KVOE and online at KVOE.com.
