Sentencing is set for Tuesday for an Emporia man originally accused of pointing a gun at a woman as she held an infant child.
Casey Wayne Bess pleaded to a single count of aggravated assault with a firearm in late February.
The 30-year-old had been charged with aggravated assault, domestic battery and misdemeanor child endangerment after an incident Nov. 14 in the 1100 block of Woodland. The incident allegedly started with an argument between Bess and a woman and culminated with a threat from Bess to the woman who was holding a baby during the altercation.
Sentencing will be at 11 am in Lyon County District Court.
