The Emporia High girls swim and dive team finished in 3rd place out of 8 teams at the Topeka High Invitational Tuesday.
Individually Ashlyn Alingh had the fastest time in the 100 butterfly. In diving, Haylee Weiss finished in 1st place, Whitney Sparks was 2nd and Karalyn Karjala was 3rd. Kaylen Hart finished in 3rd place in the 500 free. Hailey Williams finished in 5th place and Kelsey Boettcher finished in 6th place in the 500 free. Boettcher finished in 5th plac, Williams in 6th place and Kaylen Hart 7th place in the 200 free. Ashlyn Alingh also finished in 5th place in the 50 free. Peyton Irwin finished in 6th place in the 50 free. Clara Kessinger finished in 7th place in the 100 free. The 400 free relay team of Ashlyn Alingh,Clara Kessinger, Kayla Hart and Kelsey Boettcher finished in 4th place. The Centennial League meet is next for the Lady Spartans. It will be held next Thursday and Friday.
