Two Emporians have been arrested for suspected drug activity.
Emporia Police Sgt. Lisa Sage has confirmed 36-year-old William Ellis and 35-year-old Octavia Ellis were arrested Tuesday in the 1400 block of Lawrence. Both were taken to the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of cultivating and distributing marijuana.
Sage says the arrests came as part of a narcotics investigation, which continues at this time. Additional information is pending. Word on formal charges has not been announced.
