Work on perhaps Lyon County’s most famous bridge is taking place Friday.
The Lyon County Highway Department is shutting down Road P between Roads 140 and 150 to work on the so-called Rocky Ford or Bird Bridge. The Highway Department has not mentioned what’s taking place.
This is a short project, however. Work should be done by the end of the day Friday, so the bridge should officially reopen to traffic Saturday.
