Mill Valley out scored the Emporia High baseball team 5-3 in the Emporia Round Ball Classic Saturday.
Mill Valley scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and a run in the 3rd inning. Emporia High scored 2 runs in the 3rd inning and added a run in the 9th inning but left the tying run on base. The Spartans left 10 runners on base and committed 5 errors. Coach Anthony Markowitz said they needed to play with more confidence.
The Spartans, now 7-11, close out the regular season next Wednesday at Topeka High.
