Court dates are set for three Lyon County men accused in separate auto burglaries.
Chase Weaver, 19 and Jace Sull, 18, both of Americus were arrested last Wednesday after a reported auto-burglary in Olpe. The two were arrested on suspected connection to four separate auto burglaries as well as other unspecified items. Both are also formally charged in late February after a gun was found at Northern Heights and then traced to a theft in Americus. Authorities have said at least one more firearm was recovered as part of the investigation.
According to Lyon County Court Administrator Ruth Wheeler, Weaver filed a continuance Friday in the February incident, with a new court date set for 2 p.m. June 15. He will appear at a 2:30 p.m. hearing June 13 for his connection to last week’s incident.
Sull has a court hearing at 2 p.m. Friday in regard to the February incident. Meanwhile, a preliminary hearing related to last week’s incident is also coming at 2 p.m. June 13.
Both face a mix of charges, including burglary, theft and weapons possession.
A third defendant, 19-year-old Samuel Kehoe, was also arrested in connection with the February incident. He faces single counts of theft of property or services and interference with law enforcement. Final pretrial is coming at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 22 with trial set for Aug. 27.
