The Granada Theatre is starting a long week of work Wednesday.
The Granada is hosting four consecutive concerts this week. Director Bryan Williams says they have a lot of work to do.
Williams says the concerts lining up as they did this week was never planned, but they seized on multiple opportunities to bring three fantastic groups to Emporia. Country star Dwight Yoakam will start off the week, performing Wednesday and Thursday. The Glenn Miller Orchestra will take the stage Friday and My Posse In Effect: Beastie Boys Tribute will close the weekend on Saturday.
Williams says sales for all the shows have been great so far with only a few tickets still available for the Wednesday, Friday and Saturday shows. To find prices and ticket availability, check out www.emporiagranada.com.
May 9 is a big day in Granada concert history. The first big concert for the Granada was May 9, 2013, when BJ Thomas performed. The first sellout for the Granada featured Travis Tritt on May 9, 2014. And the first two-night performer is Dwight Yoakam this week.
