A pair of road improvement projects are starting in the area.
Lyon County Road and Bridge says work on Road 370 is actually beginning this week as opposed to late last month when a project was first announced. The department has closed Road 370 between Roads V-2 and W for a culvert replacement. Work could take up to six weeks to finish.
Road and Bridge says there was a schedule adjustment for that particular project.
Separately, the Kansas Department of Transportation is repairing concrete on part of US Highway 400 in southwest Greenwood County. Repairs are scheduled for one point between Piedmont and Severy. Work is scheduled between 7 am and 5 pm, with the highway fully opened to traffic by evening. There will be one-lane traffic directed by flaggers and a pilot car.
