Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Svaty now has a running mate.
In an announcement Wednesday morning, Svaty’s campaign said Katrina Lewison will be the running mate for Lt. Governor. Lewison was raised in Hutchinson and Buhler and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the 101st Airborne Division as a Black Hawk helicopter platoon leader during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She also later commanded an aviation company of American and Korean soldiers in South Korea.
Lewison is currently the director of consulting and training at CivicPlus in Manhattan, a company offering products and services that help local governments better communicate with citizens. She was elected last year to the USD 383 Manhattan Board of Education
The pair will be campaigning Wednesday and Thursday across the state.
