The Emporia High baseball team opens regional tournament play Wednesday.
The Spartans, 9-11, will face Salina South, 10-10, in the first round. The winner will play either Wichita Heights, the number 1 seed at 18-2, or Andover. Emporia High Coach Anthony Markowitz says they will need to put together two solid efforts.
Senior Drew Hartig says they need to play with confidence.
