The 5-1A State diving meet begins Thursday. For the 2nd year in a row Emporia High will have 3 divers competing.
Junior Haylee Weiss is returning as the two time defending state champion. Haylee says there is some pressure.
Whitney Sparks is making her 4 trip to state.
Sophomore Karalyn Karjala is making her 2nd trip to state. She says having teammates like Haylee and Whitney has been a plus.
The 5-1A diving prelims begin at noon Thursday. The Swim prelims will begin Friday at 10am. Ashlyn Alingh will be swimming in the 100 butterfly.
Ashlyn will also be a part of the 400 Free relay with Kelsey Boettcher, Peyton Irwin and Clara Kessinger.
