The Chase County baseball team, Lebo-Waverly and Osage City softball teams earned trips to State winning regional championship games Wednesday.
The Chase County baseball team is making a return to trip to state after defeating Wabaunsee 4-3 in the regional championship game. In the regional semi-finals, Chase County defeated Northern Heights 8-3. Wabaunsee eliminated Lebo Waverly 18-6. The 2-1A State baseball tournament will be played in Great Bend.
The Lebo Waverly softball team is making their first trip to state after outscoring Valley Falls 5-3 in the regional championship game. They will join the Chase County in the 2-1A State softball tournament in Pratt.
The Osage City softball team defeated Wellsville 8-7 to advance to the 3A State tournament to be played in Manhattan.
In regional semi-finals, the Council Grove baseball team lost to Riley County 11-1 and the Osage City baseball team lost to Wellsville 10-0.
