Budget requests are the main focus for Lyon County commissioners when they have a study meeting Wednesday.
The board will field 2019 budget proposals from Emporia Main Street, SOS, the Lyon County Treasurer’s Office and the Lyon County Register of Deeds Office.
Four executive sessions are planned, two for legal matters and two for non-elected personnel.
The study meeting begins at 8 am in the County Courthouse.
Budget requests are also planned when the County Commission has its action meeting at 8 am Thursday, also in the Courthouse. The Lyon County Conservation District, Hetlinger Developmental Services and Lyon County Extension will all present budget requests.
Separately, BG Consultants principal Bruce Boettcher will have an update on water system improvements impacting Rural Water District No. 1, especially from Americus north to Bushong. Four executive sessions are in the works, including two for legal issues and two for non-elected personnel.
