Road work is taking place northeast of Emporia to close out this week.
The Lyon County Highway Department is closing Burlingame Road between Roads 180 and 190 to replace a cross-road culvert. Work begins shortly after 7 am Thursday and should wrap up by mid-afternoon Friday, weather permitting.
Drivers will need to detour around the closure while the work is underway.
