Drew Butera drove in 2 runs in the bottom of the 10th lifting the Kansas City Royals to a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday afternoon.
Salvador Perez gave the Royals a 1-0 lead with a homerun in the 2nd inning. The Cardinals scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Whit Merrifields sacrafice fly in the 6th tied the game. In the top of the 10 Butera singled with the bases loaded.
Butera scored on a Jon Jay single. The Royals win the series 2 games to 1. Kansas City heads to Texas for a 4 game weekend series with the Rangers Thursday night.
