The NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships begin Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina. Emporia State has 8 athletes competing in 5 events during the 3 days of competition.
Thursday the mens 4 by 100 relay team will run in the prelims. They are seeded 12th Colin Coleman will run the lead leg and says the competition should push them.
Taysean Goodwin runs the 2nd leg. Jordan Reed runs the 3rd leg.
Duke Tibbs will run the anchor leg.
Luke Stenzel and Taysean Goodwin will run in the 400 meter dash prelims. Stenzel is seeded 7th.
Taysean is seeded 12th and will also be running in the 200.
Lati Yeargin and Hannah Shield will run in the 100 meter dash prelims. Yeargin is seeded 10th.
Hannah Shield is seeded 23rd.
Friday Taysean Goodwin will run in the 200 meter dash and as part of the 4 by 400 relay. Parker Evans will run the lead leg.
Luke Stenzel will run the 2nd leg, and Duke Tibbs will run the 3rd leg.
The finals are scheduled for Saturday.
