The saying is “there is strength in numbers.” And that’s the approach Plumb Place is taking as it closes out its major month-long fundraiser.
Plumb Place has been raising money to match a federal grant. On KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Friday, Interim Director Clara Corn said the goal can be achieved if lots of people just donate a little.
Goal is $30,000, and so far about $3,600 has been donated. There are a host of ways to donate.
Corn says Plumb Place offers a wide range of services for women in crisis, including case management, financial training, life skills development and art therapy.
Additional fundraisers are tentatively planned, including a Quarter Mania event at Twin Rivers on June 23 and a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch on July 22. For more information, call Plumb Place at 342-1613 or go online to www.plumbplace.org.
