The David Traylor Zoo has expanded its Preston Forest Adventure, and it’s asking for help in helping kids use their imagination with the new play roadway.
Zoo Director Lisa Keith says the new play road runs on the berm around the Forest Adventure, located near the heart of the zoo.
The zoo needs several play items, including:
*Small toy cars and trucks like Hot Wheels or Matchbox brands
*Tractors and dump trucks of all sizes
*Plastic animals of all kinds
*Plastic or metal corrals and fence panels
*Plastic or wood barns
Keith says the Preston Forest Adventure was funded by the William and Aloha Preston Family Trust and included different aspects of forest life, including toys interactive exhibits.
Keith says people can bring donations to the Zoo Education Center, 75 Soden Road, during business hours on weekdays. For more information, call the zoo at 341-4365 or go online to www.emporiazoo.org.
