Strong storms brought short bursts of heavy rain to the area and prompted two severe thunderstorm warnings to our south in Greenwood County on Tuesday night, although there were no official severe weather reports.
Here at the KVOE studios, we picked up 0.30 inches of rainfall. The Municipal Airport picked up 0.18, while the Allen area had 0.60 inches.
Wind gusts got as high as 44 mph at the Municipal Airport during storm activity shortly before 10 pm.
Showers and storms are possible again from around midnight to mid-morning Thursday. Severe weather is unlikely. We’ll keep you posted on KVOE and KVOE.com.
