KVOE has learned that Emporia State baseball Coach Bob Fornelli has been offered and has accepted the Head Baseball Coaching position at Pittsburg State.
Pittsburg State has not made an official announcement and are waiting for paperwork to be completed. Coach Fornelli will take over for Tom Myers who stepped down after 2 seasons. Coach Fornelli just completed his 15th season at Emporia State. He has a record of 599-266. He guided the Hornets to 13 NCAA tournament appearances, 5 MIAA championships, 2 MIAA tournament championships and 2 World Series appearances with a runner up finish in 2009.
