The Kansas Division of Emergency Management is the latest agency to have an apparent hacking of its social media.
The breach was discovered on Sunday on the department’s Twitter account when a derogatory tweet was posted about Secretary of State Kris Kobach. The tweet posted Sunday afternoon read, “Hey Kris, I think you are a bad guy with a gun. Also, maybe worse, you are a dumb guy with a gun.”
It was a response to a statement Kobach made after being criticized for riding in a parade over the weekend with a large replica gun mounted on a jeep.
The Adjutant General’s Department deleted the tweet and says they’ve taken the necessary steps to fix the breach, according to a statement from KDEM.
