Emporia State baseball Coach Bob Fornelli has resigned to accept the head baseball coaching position at Pittsburg State pending contract approval.
Coach Fornelli said it was the hardest decision he has had to make.
Coach Fornelli said there are a number of items that made the Pittsburg State job enticing.
Coach Fornelli said he was looking forward to the new challenge.
The search for a replacement is underway.
