As summer activities at the David Traylor Zoo start, National Zoo and Aquariums Month is also underway.
Zoo Director Lisa Keith tells KVOE News how the designation speaks to the zoo’s mission.
June kicked off with the 10th annual Stroll & Show last Friday. Keith says a decade of support by sponsors demonstrates wide community support for the zoo.
The Emporia Friends of the Zoo annual Open House is also happening later this month and Keith says they are looking forward to it.
