The Kansas American Legion Riders stopped at the All Veterans Memorial on their ride across the state.
Post 5 American Legion Riders met the group to lead them into town with a police escort.
The Kansas Legion Riders are holding a benefit ride across the state, funds will be going to veterans and children’s causes. The ride started this morning in Hutchinson, riders visited Lyons and Hillsboro before stopping in Emporia, riders will end the day in Topeka.
American Legion Post 5 and Post 5 Legion Riders presented the group with a donation of $200, the largest donation of the day so far. After check presentation and rehydrating, Post 5 riders led the group back out of town.
