The Emporia Junior American Legion baseball team split their season opening doubleheader with the Topeka Senators Wednesday night.
Post 5 won the first game 5-3. Kadyn Williams tripled, driving 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Chance Gilpin and Evan Berges triple in runs. Avery Peak was the winning pitcher. The Topeka Senators won the 2nd game 16-5. Coach Anthony Markowitz said it was a positive start to the season.
The Post 5 Juniors will play at Andover Thursday night.
