Fire and Iron Station 135 will host their 2018 benefit run Saturday morning.
Club President and Emporia Fire Captain Tony Fuller say they often see the tragedies which leave families in need first hand.
Starting from Olpe Fire Station located at 204 West Bitler St., the run will end at Harry & Lloyd’s in Americus with a meal, silent and live auction.
All funds raised will go to helping area children & families in need after being affected by fires. Fuller says they see five to ten fires a year which can take little to almost everything from affected families.
The public is invited to ride with Fire & Iron, registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the ride starting at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $20 a vehicle and $10 per additional passenger. For more information call Fire and Iron at 340-2809 or check out Fire & Iron Station 135 on Facebook.
