An Emporia woman, who was one of four co-defendants in a November burglary at the Flinthills Mall has been convicted.
Cheryl Dains, 47, entered a no contest plea Wednesday in Lyon County District Court. She was subsequently found guilty on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and burglary of a non-dwelling. As part of the plea agreement, an additional count of burglary of a non-dwelling was dismissed.
Sentencing has been set for 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Lyon County Courthouse.
Dains and co-defendants Julian Castillo, Jeffrey Muoio and Nichole Rice were charged after a break-in at the mall Nov. 4. Authorities say the Buckle and Hibbett Sports were burglarized during the incident with more than $20,000 in reported losses. Many of the items were recovered shortly after the burglary.
