The Emporia Senior American Legion baseball team opens play in the Sam Ellis Classic Friday morning. The Post 5 Seniors will play Andover at 9am, it is the first of 6 games to be played on day 1.
For Hayden Baumwart this is a great tournament to play in.
Fridays other games have Ottawa playing the Kansas Senators, The Wichita Aviators playing the Kansas Indians. Andover plays the Kansas Senators. The Salina Falcons play Shawnee Mission North. In the late game scheduled for 7pm start Emporia plays Ottawa.
6 more games will be played Saturday with the finals on Sunday. All games will be played at Sodens Grove.
