Preparations continue for the 2018 Lyon County Fair, and once again a big name in country music will be featured on the schedule.
Fair Board Chair Ken Duft had the announcement on KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Monday:
The Kentucky Headhunters actually began in the late 1960s and were known at that time as Itchy Brother, according to the band’s website. The group disbanded in the mid-1980s, but reformed with the new name a few years later and found success.
This continues the Fair Board’s recent success with lining up well-known country acts, including appearances by Blackhawk, John Michael Montgomery, Phil Vassar and Stoney LaRue.
Tickets will be $25 and will go on sale in early July. KVOE is partnering with the Fair Board to make this concert available to the public. For more information, call Duft at 343-5347. By early July, you can also go online to www.lyoncountyfair.ks.org for information as well.
