The Cincinnati Reds rallied for a 5-1 win over the Kansas City Royals in 10 innings Tuesday night.
Hunter Dozier hit a solo home run in the 5th to give the Royals a 1-0 lead. Ian Kennedy shutout the Reds thru 8 innings on 3 hits and 5 strikeouts.
Cincinnati catcher Tucker Barnhart tied the game with a home run in the 9th off of Kelvin Herrera. The Reds scored 4 runs in the top of the 10th, Joey Vottos bases loaded triple was the big hit of the inning. The Royals and Reds play again Wednesday night with Jason Hammel on the mound for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:15p.
The Royals on Tuesday activated right-handed reliever Justin Grimm from the disabled list, and optioned right-hander Trevor Oaks back to Triple-A Omaha.
