An Americus man tied to a pair of burglary incidents in Americus will appear before a Lyon County judge this Friday.
Chase Weaver 19 is accused of attempted aggravated burglary following a Feb. 21 incident at Northern Heights High School in which a stolen firearm was traced to a theft in Americus. Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman tells KVOE News he expects Weaver to enter a plea during a 2 p.m. pretrial conference Friday.
The court docket also states that Weaver has a preliminary hearing scheduled at the same time related to an alleged auto-burglary in Olpe last month.
Weaver’s co-defendant, 18-year-old Jace Sull was convicted of attempted aggravated burglary last and will be sentenced for his involvement in both incidents at a 2:30 p.m. hearing July 26.
