The annual Lyon County Master Gardeners Garden Tour will be taking place Saturday.
The tour will begin at 9 am Saturday morning and those participating may choose from five different sites during the tour. Those locations include
1184 Road 220, the home of Don and Ruth Wise
1427 Washington, the home of Gwen Alexander
107 S. Sylvan, the home of Carolyn Koch
2661 West Ridge Dr., the home of Elaine Bentz
Lyon County Extension Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens at the Lyon County Fairgrounds
Each of the five tour sites are owned by Emporia Master Gardeners. The Master Gardeners are a national organization which began in Washington State. Lyon County Extension Horticulturist Travis Carmichael described exactly what kind of activities the group is involved in.
There is no order to the tour and participants may choose whatever order they like. The tour will begin at 9 am and will run until 1 pm. Tickets are available for $5 from any local Master Gardeners and may also be purchased at tour sites.
