The Lyon County Master Gardeners invited the public to see their unique gardens on Saturday.
The group held its annual Garden Tour in and around Emporia.
Master Gardener Carolyn Koch’s garden at 107 S. Sylvan was one of the five featured stops. She talked about how art and nature fused in her yard.
Master Gardener Gwen Alexander talked about the tranquillity her garden at 1427 Washington brings to her.
Lyon County Extension Horticulturist Travis Carmichael says because excessive heat over the last few years, they decided to shorten tour hours — a good call with Lyon County under a heat advisory.
Carmichael said the four gardens on the tour are unique.
