Unemployment numbers are holding steady for Emporia and Lyon County.
The May unemployment numbers from the Kansas Department of Labor have Emporia and Lyon County both at 3.3 percent, unchanged from April.
Other area counties had small declines month-to-month, including Chase, Greenwood, Morris and Wabaunsee. Osage County’s rate held flat at 3.6 percent, while Coffey County’s rate climbed a tenth of a point to 4.4 percent.
Statewide, the jobless rate was 3.4 percent, unchanged from April.
