The American Legion Post 5 AAA Seniors are back in action Tuesday evening in Emporia.
The Post 5 Seniors will be hosting the Topeka Scrappers for two games at Soden’s Grove. Emporia is coming off a two-game sweep of the Buhler Nationals last Wednesday. Wednesday, Hayden Baumwart gave up just three runs on six hits with six strikeouts and Cade Kohlmeier pitched two scoreless innings in relief.
Coach Matt Baumwart says their pitching has been a highlight this season.
The Post 5 Seniors come into Tuesday’s matchup with a record of 11-3.
Baumwart says while it’s a confidence builder, records don’t determine the outcome of a game.
First pitch for Tuesday’s games is set for 6 pm at Soden’s Grove.
