The Kansas City Royals dropped their eighth straight game Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to the Texas Rangers.
After a scoreless first inning, the Texas Rangers struck first scoring two runs off a Delino Deshields double in the second inning and added two more in the third. Alex Gordon would claim the lone run for the Royals in the fifth inning off an RBI single by Rosell Herrera.
Jason Hammel took the loss for the Royals giving up four runs on nine hits in five and a half innings.
The Royals are now 22-51 on the season and just 10-28 at home.
The Royals and Rangers will wrap up their three-game series this evening at Kaufman. First pitch is set for 7:15, pregame coverage begins at 6:30 on KVOE 1400am/96.9fm.
