They spent years inspiring America’s children in the classroom, but for a brief time Friday night, they inspired a room full of guests and honorees with their passion for education.
The 2018 National Teachers Hall of Class was inducted into the ranks, bringing the total number of honorees to 135. Each one had a unique story to share about their journey through education.

Jeffrey Baxter, English and Language Arts teacher from Overland Park shared his love for literature and how it can inspire.
The 2018 inductees combined for 168 total years of teaching experience. Each was presented with a plaque, a portrait of the One Room School House and a 10 karat gold ring from Herff Jones signifying their induction into the National Teachers Hall of Fame.
