Despite momentum from a 2-0 win Monday, the Kansas City Royals fell behind early en route to a 5-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday.
Milwaukee established a quick 5-0 lead with runs in the first, third and fifth innings including three home runs. Kansas City avoided the shutout thanks to a solo home run from Adalberto Mondesi in the eighth inning. The Royals would only manage three hits in 29 at-bats.
Jakob Junis was the starter for the Royals giving up five runs off seven hits with seven strikeouts in five innings on the mound. The Royals now drop to 25-54 on the season.
