One person was taken to Newman Regional Health after a wreck on the Kansas Turnpike late Friday night in Lyon County.
Authorities and rescue workers were toned out shortly after 11 pm to the wreck site at mile marker 136 southbound, nine miles north of Emporia. One vehicle crashed at that location.
While one person was hospitalized, a second person declined a hospital trip.
