Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of the KVOE listening area Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
A severe thunderstorm watch involves Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties until 11 pm. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter and 70 mph wind gusts are possible.
Chase and Greenwood counties were in a severe thunderstorm watch as well, but that has since expired.
Eureka, the Greenwood County seat, was hit by an EF-3 tornado Tuesday night. Eureka and southern Greenwood County were in a severe thunderstorm warning, but that was canceled as storm activity fizzled before reaching the county.
