Wet conditions contributed to an injury crash on the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia on Thursday evening.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Regina Lynn Dial of Winfield was southbound when she hydroplaned at mile marker 126, just south of the Emporia tollgate, and hit a bridge barrier wall. Dial was taken to Newman Regional Health for additional care and treatment.
Strong storms were just west of Emporia at the time of that crash.
