ALLEN — Traffic on US Highway 56 near Northern Heights High School was flagged past the site of a car accident Monday.
On car crashed and apparently rolled about three-quarters of a mile east of the high school around 5 pm. The original call came in as an injury crash, but Emporia Fire says the patient refused transport to a hospital afterward. Early indications are the car may have rolled as many as three times before stopping in a grove of trees near the highway.
