Area residents were not deterred by heat and humidity as they helped the Newman Regional Health Foundation get the Denim and Diamonds fundraising period off to a good start.
The Denim and Diamonds kickoff barbecue took place Thursday. Foundation Director Mike Perigo sys it’s important for people areawide to realize the funds help quality of life for the hospital’s patients.

Up next is Dine for Denim and Diamonds on Tuesay at Coach’s Grill and Bar. The actual Denim and Diamonds gala is Aug. 3 at the Memorial Union Webb Hall.
