The Relay for Life of the Flint Hills is hosting its third annual “Hope Floats” root beer float social this weekend.
Donations will be taken for the upcoming Sept. 8 relay to be held at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Organizer Cherie Crisp was on KVOE’s Newsmaker this week. She says donations help support caregivers and survivors and a whole lot more.
Fundraising continues to go strong leading up to the Sept. 8 Relay for Life, planned at the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
The Hope Floats fundraiser is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Emporia Senior Center. It is free and open to the public. Freddy’s Frozen Custard is supplying the ice cream and Coca-Cola is donating the root beer.
