While the first-ever Pro Disc Golf Association Junior World competition continues in Emporia through Saturday, many took time Friday night to check out downtown and party.
Emporia Main Street Executive Director Casey Woods says the event itself and disc golf, in general, have made a major impact on growing the local economy.
Almost KISS performed along with Ryan Manuel and the Getaways, outside of the Granada. Woods says the event is a great opportunity for the community and businesses to cooperate to show visitors what Emporia has to offer.
